Eheim
Talking about EHEIM means talking about the history of the aquarium. It was March 13, 1949 when Gunther Eheim founded his company for "Repair and production of technical toys" and it was 1962 when he developed a centrifugal pump with magnetic drive. This mini pump with its reliable mechanics was then also installed in highly sensitive equipment for medical applications, in laboratory equipment, as well as in other high-tech products of the 1960s, where it has stood the test of time. In 1963 all production is moved to aquarium products, such as the first external filters, which a few years later will be in use throughout the aquatic world. In 1981, the new generation of EHEIM filters with synchronous motor technology appeared. It later acquired the MP (production of aquariums) and Jagger (heaters) brands. In 2002 he installed the new logistics center in Deizisau and in 2006 he presented the first external electronic filter. In 2013 the founder, Gunther Eheim died at the age of 93. In 2019 Eheim celebrates the milestone: 1949 to 2019 – 70 years of innovations Made by EHEIM. In 2021, the fifth generation of Professional external filters was born, the first WiFi filters on the market.
Aquaristica has been the official Eheim distributor in Italy for over 25 years.
