Aquarium Munster
It all started with an ornamental fish breeding company founded by Adolf Pahlsmeier Snr. in 1926. He soon gained international recognition with the export of angelfish to America by sea. The company later developed into a wholesaler of ornamental fish.
With the pioneering invention of FAUNAMOR in 1968, the first medicine against Ichthyophthirius (white spot disease), the business concept changed. The range of high-quality products has been constantly expanded and is today the most important branch of the company. Like AQUA-CLIPPER, the patented system for transporting ornamental fish, ORCA underwater glue and AQUAVITAL BACTOSPRINT, the first 2-component product with immobilized microorganisms that activate immediately before use. The development of effective medicines and water care products requires scientific creativity and research to meet internationally recognized quality standards. Each batch is analyzed and extensively tested before being put on sale. Aquarium Munster information and advertising materials are available in more than 20 languages. Aquarium Munster offers regular training programmes, seminars and presentations at major trade fairs with its partners.
Today the company is run by the brothers Dirk Pahlsmeier and Mark Pahlsmeier and the great-grandson of the founder Moritz Pahlsmeier. Selected partners of Aquarium Münster are located all over the world.
