An increase in nitrite levels can occur during the start-up phase of a new aquarium, after treatment for a disease, after a filter change, or after excessively thorough filter cleaning. It can also occur if living organisms die and are not removed from the water promptly. ABA NITRITE EMERGENCY removes up to 1.5 mg/L of nitrite per 5ml capful, converting nitrites present in aquarium water into organic amines that are metabolized by filter bacteria. Use if the nitrite content in the tank exceeds the dangerous level (0.5 mg/L). Dosage: one 5ml capful per 20L for up to 10 consecutive days, monitoring water parameters, especially the temperature, which must not exceed 30°C. The dose can be increased up to three times in cases of severe pollution. CAN BE USED IN FRESHWATER AND MARINE WATER.
